Our journey began over 20 years ago when Aaron stumbled into the world of butchery. With the offer of an apprenticeship, we decided to do the big move to Canberra. Then followed lots of work and long hours to become a qualified tradesman who without doubt stands out in his field.

In 2015, we decided to take the leap into the world of small business and launch our very own mobile butchering business. Offering local farmers, the convenience of processing their meat directly on their properties while upholding the highest ethical standards. Our business hit the ground running and before we knew it our books were full and continued to be for years!

A few years into running our mobile business, a friend reached out to let us know that the Gunning Butcher Shop was up for sale. They saw it as the perfect next opportunity for us and encouraged us to consider it and as they say the rest of history! We absolutely love being a part of the community and we are so proud of the business we have created. A business that not only serves its local community with quality products and great old fashion customer service, but also ensuring that every purchase aligns with our values of integrity and responsibility.
